Harry Potter enthusiasts have been comparing the cast members from their days on the iconic film series to their current looks, with a resounding consensus emerging. Today (Friday, May 2) marks a special occasion in the wizarding world – International Harry Potter Day, established by then-Prime Minister David Cameron in 2012.

This global celebration pays tribute to J. K. Rowling, the creator of the enchanting Harry Potter universe, which was first brought from page to screen with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001. With International Harry Potter Day upon us, it's a perfect opportunity to see how the celebrated actors have changed over time.

A TikTok user operating under the handle Harry Potter Lore shared a video that includes Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe), Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), and Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory).

Jamie Waylett's transformation has particularly sparked conversations among fans, with many remarking on his striking resemblance to US rapper and singer Post Malone, reports the Mirror.

One observer stated: "First dude turned into Post Malone." A second fan humorously queried: "Since when was Post Malone in Harry Potter?".

Another added: "Why does Crabbe look like Post Malone now?" while a fourth noted: "Young Post Malone in Harry Potter?".

Yet another joined in, commenting: "The first one became Post Malone?" The viral TikTok footage features an image of a 35 year old Waylett clad in his Hogwarts attire from 2003.

In the Harry Potter series, he portrayed Crabbe, the son of a Death Eater and a member of Slytherin House who was part of Draco Malfoy's gang. His role in Harry Potter remains his only film role to date, featuring in six out of the eight films.

Despite having a promising career ahead, his life took a dark turn that seemingly ended his acting career.

In 2009, he was removed from the popular franchise after being caught cultivating cannabis plants at his residence. He was sentenced to 120 hours of community service, marking the beginning of his downfall in the film industry.

His situation worsened when he was sentenced to two years in prison in 2012 after being convicted of violent disorder for drinking from a bottle of Champagne stolen during the London riots. He was photographed holding a petrol bomb, but was acquitted of intending to destroy or damage property.

However, in recent times, Jamie has been making efforts to rebuild his life. He has been seen offering personal video messages on the well-known celebrity website, Cameo, for fans and loved ones.
