A POPULAR television show has returned to a Cotswold village to film scenes for its new season.

Father Brown, a BBC TV show about a crime-fighting roman catholic priest, has begun filming in Blockley.

The cast of the hit television show, which is filming scenes for its thirteenth season, was spotted in Blockley's High Street and outside the village's church.

Mark Williams, who plays the title character of Father Brown, is best known for his role as Arthur Weasley in Harry Potter.

St Peter and Paul Church has been the unofficial home of Father Brown for more than a decade, since filming its first season in 2012.

Little is currently known about season 13 of Father Brown, but the show is speculated to air in early 2026.

Pictures from the filming process have given fans a glimpse of what they can expect.

The main star himself, Mark Williams, was pictured filming scenes in the Gloucestershire village today (May 8).

Pictures, taken by residents of the village, appear to show Father Brown, accompanied by a man in a brown suit, leave the church.

The man in a brown suit, who looks unhappy, then proceeds to hand over what could be a book, before leaving in a vintage car.
