PULLMAN, Wash. – The iconic Pullman restaurant, Cougar Country Drive-In, was passed along to new owners in April.
Mark and Nicole Randolph, who own Roger’s Ice Cream & Burgers in North Idaho, recently added Cougar Country to their family of restaurants, receiving ownership from Mike and Terry Wagoner.
The Wagoners reopened Cougar Country six years prior to the Randolphs taking over, after the restaurant had originally been closed down. In a social media post from Friday, the Wagoners described their experience with the restaurant.
“Six years ago, we had a dream to bring a closed down Cougar Country back to life. We felt the void of its darkened windows when we drove past everyday, and we know our community did, too,” the post said.
The Wagoners also owned and operated Zoe Coffee and Kitchen, another location steeped in WSU Pullman culture and history. After years of running both restaurants, the Wagoners decided it was time for their next chapter: retirement.
“We’re so proud to have resurrected this iconic Pullman institute 6 years ago, and we’re just as proud to have passed it along to its NEW owners last month on April 11th,” the post continued. “Help us welcome and congratulate them into the Pullman family!”
